Baby Bean's 20 Week Ultrasound

We had our 20 week ultrasound for Baby Bean today and this is the better photo. If you're like me with ultrasound pictures you might need it explained ... It's a profile with the head on the left side. You can see an arm with the hand under his or her (we didn't find out!) chin - it looks like Bean is having a good think about something ... maybe he/she is going to be a philosopher!

It seems as if everything is healthy. I got the results online this afternoon and as far as we can tell everything is healthy and there are none of the potential problems we had with James at this stage. I didn't get a phone call this afternoon and so we're assuming that means everything is ok. It looks like the due date might change from 24th of June to the 28th of June but our midwife nurse said she would call by the end of the week if they decide to "officially" adjust the date. The lady who did the ultrasound today was really nice and explained everything she was doing so I personally felt like I could see more clearly than with any of the scans we had with James. I had one slightly worrying moment when I thought Bean had a MASSIVE nose but it turns out he/she had her hand up on his/her face !!!

I also had a regular check-up on Monday and everything seems to be going well. As she listened for the heart beat she said that the baby was moving around alot. I've been feeling quite a lot of movement over the last week and so it seems that we might have another active one who's going to have no problem keeping up with his/her big brother!!
