Give Peas A Chance!!!

James had his first taste of peas tonight. It's his first time having a green vegetable. It was VERY FUNNY watching his facial expressions ... hope you enjoy these ...

"Oooo, yummy - time for a little something to fill my tummy!!!"
James eagerly anticipating some dinner ...

"Hmmm ... my cereal isn't normally green ... errrrr... something's not right here ..."

"What is this green mushy stuff?!?!"

"Why are you trying to poison me?? Don't you love me any more!?"

"Ok, ok - I'll try one more spoonful ..."

Uh-oh - looks like it might be like father, like son... Some of you may not know that the only vegetable Dan eats is sweetcorn ... no green vegetables for him either!

Under Da Sea ,,,

A new toy to keep James occupied! This one makes him smile when it lights up, and will hopefully grow with him as there are several different positions you can put it in to keep him amused as he grows.

Sitting up reading a good book...

He still can't balance for very long on his own but his tummy muscles are getting stronger and he's less likely to topple over within seconds of letting go ... but you still have to be careful and extra vigilant when you play "which way will the baby fall" ! More evidence that maybe he does like books after all ...

Chatting to Grandma

James is getting more and more vocal. The other day he kept interupting while I was trying to talk to his Grandma so I ended up giving him the phone!

Bathed and ready for bed!

Wearing the fleece pajamas that his Great-Nanny Betty and Great-Auntie Lin got him for Christmas. The outfit is still a bit big but he looked so cute and cuddly in it, and he slept through the night again last night so he must've been comfy!
Reading a bed time story ...

Happy Valentine's Day!

My little Casanova ...

My flowers from my boys.

Daddy loves lego!

James and I built Dan an "I love you" lego message today ...

James helping to build the "I Love U" lego ... Daddy's the expert lego master but I think James will soon pick it up (and not just to go in his mouth)

James was getting fed up posing for the camera by this point but he's wearing his "I love my daddy" outfit in this photo.

James with his American buddys!

James seems to spend quite a lot of time with girls in the nurserys we go to and so it was good to play with Keagan and Andrew at Devon's house for some testosterone time! And the mommy and the mummy got some grown-up conversation time too!

Is this the three amigos? The three wise monkeys? The three little piggy's?

Sussing out the solids ...

About 2 weeks ago we started James on some solid food. He's been having a bit of rice cereal in the morning, and we've started some vegetable over the last couple of days. He was a bit suspicious of the spoon to start with but he kept opening his mouth for more so he seems to like it. This was the very first morning that we gave him the cereal.

I think this was the first time in the high chair. He definitely seems to enjoy his cereal in the morning now.

Trying squash ..

We decided to try James with some squash ... he seemed quite keen to start with but ...

Uh-oh, does this face mean he's going to take after Daddy when it comes to being fussy with food, or had he just had enough????

James' first hair cut!

James had a long bit of hair that was getting in his eye so I decided to chop it off ... only problem was that it ended up being a bit of a blunt cut ...

This was after I had been advised about how to cut his hair to blend it in a bit better. Now he looks even more grown-up!

The tell-tale face ... guess what I'm doing?!

James makes the funniest faces when he's filling his nappy/diaper sometimes. There are times when Dan and I are laughing so hard ... managed to catch this one in a photo ... poor little chap!!

Mum, your hands are cold!

The other day James needed a full outfit change between nappy/diaper changes and so I popped him in his crib while I washed my hands ... when I came back they must have been too cold as James gave a startled gasp when I went to pick him up. It was really funny!

Bouncing is what tiggers do best!!!!

James got his new "Rainforest Jumperoo" last week. It's got lots of things to keep him busy and amused, and he can jump (or hop as he was doing the other day ...) while he's doing it! It took him a little while to get used to it but the last few times he's been occupied with it for quite a long time, and has realised he can spin around and play with whatever he wants to. Mummy likes it too as it gives her arms a much needed break!

Bouncing in the door hanging bouncer that my friend Kelli let me borrow. It's a bit like my bouncy duck in England!
