James' Dedication 10th December 2006

Today we had the parent/child dedication at church for James. It was really special and meant alot to us - to commit to be bringing James up to learn about and hopefully come to know God for himself, and for the church to commit to be praying for, and supporting us. James was really good ... he only burped during the start of the prayer!!! We have a really good video that we'll be able to show our family when we are home for Christmas.

James' First Christmas Tree!

As we're going home for Christmas we just got a little christmas tree for James. In fact it's smaller than he is!!

Standing on my own 2 feet!

Although balance is an issue, and he obviously won't be walking just yet ... James is really strong on his legs!

James discovers his mouth!

Over the last week James has discovered his mouth ... and discovered that he can jam his hand INTO his mouth, and does it at every opportunity ... Let the drool begin!!! Oh, and the quilt he's lying on for these photos was made for him by Amy's mum/mom, Mary-Rose. It's absolutely brilliant and the perfect size for play time and photo shoots!

Funny Hat!

Just remembered that I never uploaded this funny photo to the blog. It was taken a few weeks ago. This is one of his winter hats and matching mittens for when we go back to England for Christmas. I didn't realize the hat was going to stand up so straight like that!!!

This is sooo boring!

We've been trying to get James used to the baby carrier as we're going to use it to carry him around at the airport. He didn't like it too much the first few times we tried it but I've been trying to use it a bit every day to get him used to it and the last few times he's fallen alseep in it! He looks so funny all floppy! I think he must be getting used to it and let's hope he falls alseep when we fly home one week from today!
