Another photo shoot

James was all smiley on the changing table the other day so I decided to do a photo shoot. He's wearing the cute outfit that Auntie Catherine got for him. I think he looks really good in bright colours.

VITAL STATISTICS!

James had his 2 month check-up today. His doctor is really pleased with how well he is doing. He measured 25inches long and weighed 15lbs 12oz - so no worries about weight gain! He had to have four shots this morning and although he was very brave he's been a bit cranky since ... and I have to say I don't blame him!

Howdy L'il Cowboy!!

We got James all dressed up in his cowboy outfit yesterday - he's even got cowboy boot slippers! We'll have to see if Grandad will let him borrow his cowboy hat!

Yesterday we took James to the Johnson's house for the first time. We had a really fun evening, and apart from James spitting up on their newly cleaned carpet (how did he know?!?) he was a really good boy.

I think this photo is so sweet. Trevor (being such a brilliant big brother) is taking care of the little ones. Hayley can't take her eyes off of James (her future husband). James looks quite content.

Vital Statistics

No new photos today but James and I went to the Mother and Baby group today and so I got to weigh him for the first time for nearly 3 weeks. I was a bit surprised when I discovered that he now weighs a whopping 15 lbs 5 oz!!! So unless I am remembering wrong, or I was not using the scales properly it's no wonder he's out growing all his clothes!!! He also made a new friend at the group - a little 3 week old boy called Steven.

This afternoon he got to go to the park with his friend Max (Pat and Erin went too ...) Unfortunately he's still too little to play with Max on the slide and the swings but he was happy to watch for now. Today has been a really good day!

Smiley James

Last night Dan was gently blowing air at James' face and he absolutely loved it and was really smiley for ages. Does this mean he's going to be a sky diver???

Tummy Time!

James gets his American Passport!

James got his American passport last week. There's nothing to stop us coming home for Christmas 4 weeks from today!

Not sure why he looks so worried about the prospect of being an international traveler ...

James The Pea Pod!

We got James a new "swaddle me" blanket for the colder nights - it's all fleecy and cosey and he looks just like a pea pod when we put him in it!!

The last few nights he has looked so alert, smiley and awake ... right before bedtime!!

James has a growing collection of giraffes in his room - and today he got dressed up in an outfit with a giraffe on that my cousin sent me so we decided to have a photo shoot! Can you spot where James is?!?

James really likes playing with his teddy bear. We've decide to call him Soggy Ted as he James always sucks on his nose!

Sleeping Beauties?!?!

The other morning James and I got to have a lie-in ... He's normally in his crib in our room but he was awake before I was ready to get up and so I brought him into our bed and he fell back to sleep!

In the last couple of days James has started responding to the funny faces we pull at him with a big smile. He's been smiling for a while but until now it's only been because of gas or a good dream....
